Located within the grounds of Russells Hall Hospital, near Dudley, Treetops Private Day Nursery is a purpose built nursery which caters for 66 children aged from 6 weeks to 5 years.

We hold 18 places for 0 – 2 years, 26 places for 2 -3 years and 22 places for 3 – 5 year olds in our Pre-School. We have full day sessions and half day sessions available.

We are conveniently located for the staff of Russells Hall Hospital and the surrounding areas of Dudley, Brierley Hill, Kingswinford & Stourbridge.

Learning and Development:
We encourage children to learn through play. We believe that our Ethos of “We learn, we play, we have lots of fun everyday” encourages children to grow and develop at a pace which is suitable to them as individuals.

Spending time at Treetops helps children to build friendships and become confident in themselves and their surroundings.

We also pride ourselves on our policies relating to Equal Opportunities and Special Educational Needs.
All children are treated as equals regardless of colour, culture, gender or disability. We provide non-stereotypical play and portray a variety of cultures; which aims to help the children to appreciate and respect each other in aspects such as language, beliefs and customs.

Learning Journeys:
Each child’s development is recorded in their own individual learning journey books. Observations take place on a daily basis; which enable us to plan and implement activities around the individual child’s interests and developmental needs.
Termly summative reports are completed and these alongside children’s learning journeys are available to view at any time.

Meals:
All meals are freshly cooked daily on the premises.  We offer a wide variety of foods and cater for all diets and individual needs.

Our Staff

Our Level 3 qualified staff care and support the needs of the children.  Practitioners gain an understanding of all children to help create a happy, safe and secure environment.  We take safeguarding very seriously and all staff are required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check and regularly refresh their knowledge, by keeping up to date with new procedures, policies and educational programmes by attending training sessions.

The staff ratio is 1:3 for 0-2 years, 1:4 for 2-3 years and 1:8 for children aged 3 to 5 years.

Our experienced practitioners care and support the needs of the children within the setting by gaining knowledge and understanding of all the individual children, their likes and dislikes.   This enables us to offer a happy, safe and secure environment for the children to play, learn and develop.

SEND.
We work alongside other outside agencies to gain support and offer the best outcomes for each child and their individual needs, ensuring all children are given the same opportunities to grow and learn.

My son started pre school here as we had moved house so it was a big upheaval for him. As well as having a new baby brother. His key worker really took the time during his settling in session to get to know him and what he liked. It made all the difference to him and massively reassured me. My youngest son has been in every room except the smallest baby room. Treetops is a fantastic nursery, all 3 of our children attended from the age of 1, our youngest is currently in room 4. We really have felt at ease dropping our children off. The reason for this is all the staff have a great bond with the children and that is what makes the difference. Our children have learned so much from eating, playing, potty training and basic manners. Not only that they also have a great pre school which really showed when my elder boys attended school the teachers in reception really could see what’s skills they had learned.

I cannot rate Treetops and all their staff highly enough. My son was found to have special educational needs with speech delay and other areas and they have been fantastic with him. They have worked closely with his supporting community agencies and myself and he is definitely coming along with their input and support. They have gone out of their way to ensure he has what he needs which is mostly 1 to 1. He loves going and has enjoyed it all the way through to preschool. My little one was born 3 weeks into the pandemic in 2020. With all mum and baby groups suspended for a good number of months my son had no interaction with other children of a similar age until he started Treetops. My nervousness around how he would be with new people and new surroundings was unfounded. Knowing that he enjoys his days at Treetops puts me at ease when dropping him off for a jam packed day at nursery. A happy and smiling little boy every morning when we drop him off and on a afternoon when he’s picked up. In such a short space of time he’s learned so much and can see his developmental skills have advanced thanks to Treetops.

Our two little girls have been part of the ‘Treetops family’ from the age of 12 months and are now 2 and 4yrs old. It is the best feeling to walk away from your children knowing they are in safe hands and are being looked after while you work.
